Spay & Neuter Clinic for Dogs

Due to overwhelming need and what is now a very long waitlist, we can’t accept any more applications for dog spay/neuter until we’ve taken care of everyone who is already waiting. We will reopen the application process once we’ve caught up, probably in spring 2025. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Planning for the Day of Your Appointment

Some basics to get you started:

1. Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old and exhibit no signs of illness on the day of surgery.

2. Female dogs are not to be in heat or pregnant at the time of surgery. They must be out of heat for at least a month prior to being fixed.

3. No food after midnight the day before surgery; they can have water.

4. Your morning drop-off time will be assigned when you schedule/confirm. Your afternoon pickup time will be assigned at drop-off. You will receive detailed post-op care instructions on the day of the surgery.

Be sure to let us know immediately if you must cancel your appointment. There is a great need for these low-cost surgeries and we’ll require time to contact someone else to take your spot if you can’t use it.

We often have targeted grants available to reduce or eliminate fees. Be sure to ask if we have any that might apply to you.
